About Terrainium

Neil Hawthorne and Graham Field have been collaborating on the organisation of outdoor events such as Rogaining and Ultra Trail Runs for several years and now provide a commercial service that brings technology and common sense to the trail running community.

Both Neil and Graham have countless years of experience in the IT industry. Neil is a respected (and successful) Trail and Ultra Marathon runner and brings his experience from participation in local and international events to the team. Graham competes (at a slightly different level) and compliments the team with his long experience as a surveyor, map maker and applications developer.

Terrainium was formed in November 2015 to provide services to support the safe and efficient organisation of Ultra Marathon Events.  This includes all geospatial tech aspects of designing and delivering events, such as building event maps and routes, determining runner timings and advising on event logistics such as runner tracking, organising aid stations and marshal placement
